The fashion industry is facing new challenges, and competition is fiercer than ever. Speed of product development, managing collections, and optimizing the supply chain for maximum efficiency are just a few of the critical areas where companies must excel to stay ahead. Supporting all of this is TRIMIT – a software solution tailored precisely to the needs of the fashion industry.
As the world moves increasingly toward individuality, where every customer expects to have more influence over what goes into a product, the fashion business must keep up. Software must not only enable these choices, but also ensure that the restrictions and dependencies between options are respected – so that the customer ultimately receives a high-quality product that lasts.
TRIMIT is designed to take full ownership of product management, design processes, and production – making them seamless and efficient. Built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, TRIMIT has been developed with the specific needs of the fashion industry in mind, shaped by crucial feedback from industry professionals.
TRIMIT supports fashion product design from start to finish
When you look at what TRIMIT can do for the fashion industry, it’s almost surprising that it isn’t already in use everywhere. While the solution has long been established in the furniture industry, its capabilities go much further – making it adaptable across other sectors as well.
TRIMIT takes into account the needs of true industry experts and provides them with customized tools that create a real competitive advantage.
Here are some of the key challenges in fashion design and production that TRIMIT successfully addresses:
Collection Management – The software allows products to be assigned to collections and their sales periods to be managed, providing flexibility and full control over the entire product lifecycle.
New Product Creation – With TRIMIT, it’s quick and easy to create new product variants and dimensions. By using MASTER templates, prices and material combinations can be adjusted swiftly and simply – exactly as the fast-paced fashion industry requires.
Complete PDM (Product Data Management) – TRIMIT keeps all product information on a single card, regardless of size, color, or other attributes. This ensures that all necessary data is always accessible and easy to manage. For example, consider a pair of two-tone trousers in sizes 36–48 – that’s already 14 products. A traditional ERP might handle the creation of those variants and even manage their pricing, but typically, each price must be stored on a separate card, which quickly becomes cumbersome.
Here you can see the range of information that can be stored on a MASTER card.

A powerful example of flexible pricing – even based on ranges.

Streamlining Warehouse Management – TRIMIT’s MATRIX solution enables highly visual, intuitive inventory management, making it easy to track product colors, sizes, and locations. In the fashion industry, products often come with many attributes and change rapidly, so having this level of control is a significant business advantage.
Inventory profile types can be customized, allowing you to choose whether to view stock levels, product presence on sales documents, or overall product availability.

What are the main advantages TRIMIT brings to the fashion industry?
TRIMIT provides significant benefits to companies in this sector – from material sourcing to production and sales.
- MATRIX and two-dimensional management – A unique MATRIX system, designed specifically for the industry, makes it possible to manage products across two dimensions (for example, size and color), which is absolutely essential in fashion.
- Complete product information management – TRIMIT PDM covers size and measurement handling, multiple BOMs (Bills of Materials), composition percentages, sustainability and environmental data management, and much more that is crucial for the industry.
- Collection and campaign management – TRIMIT allows you to manage sales periods and campaigns, enabling, for example, promotions such as offering three products for the price of one.
Here is an example of a MATRIX view, where sales order lines can be displayed in two different ways – simply by toggling a checkbox on or off.

Smarter Business Decisions
TRIMIT’s sales tools help companies make smarter and faster business decisions.
For example, accurately calculating cost prices and sales prices at the point of sale ensures that every transaction is profitable. This is especially critical for products with many variants, where relying on average cost prices can easily lead to mistakes and losses.
TRIMIT also helps automate production processes – from sales orders all the way through to manufacturing. With consolidated production orders, it becomes possible to plan and produce larger batches at once, reducing both material waste and labor time. This is a truly unique capability, allowing different products made from the same material to be produced together – something that most other production solutions do not support.

On the Product Manager’s desktop profile, the workspace can be configured so that the user sees exactly the tasks and lists relevant to them – with less clutter and just the right amount of information.
The solution also supports a wide range of customizable products, which can be adapted precisely to customer preferences.
For example, in the interior design sector, the weight and dimensions of a roller blind fabric determine the mechanism to be used – and TRIMIT ensures that all choices are technically correct and durable.
Almost everything can be automated – it’s actually hard to find something that cannot be automated. And if an e-commerce store is needed, TRIMIT even provides a built-in webshop engine.
Let the software handle pricing
TRIMIT offers three powerful tools for calculating prices: base price, MATRIX sales prices, and formula-based additions.
These allow for precise and dynamic pricing that reflects the real costs and market value of a product – all achieved through accurate automated calculations, completely eliminating human error.

A formula in TRIMIT is, in other words, a powerful user tool that allows anyone to act like a programmer – without knowing any code. All you need is familiarity with Excel.
Variants and Dimensions – everything is possible
The VARDIM tool (short for Variants and Dimensions) helps manage product variations and sizes.
Variants are fixed attributes such as red, blue, XS, XL, and so on. A product may also have dimensions, for example: a table’s diameter can be chosen by the customer, or the curtain width and length must match the exact measurements provided by the customer. These can be created by product groups or company-wide, while the product MASTER card defines which choices are allowed or restricted in production and sales.
The MASTER BOM is also essential in fashion production and is linked only to the MASTER card. Based on the product, the customer makes their selections (color, size, thickness, width, height, etc.), and when it comes to manufacturing, TRIMIT immediately knows what changes depending on the variant – for instance, the amount of fabric needed or the color of thread when producing jeans in different sizes and colors.
A temporary BOM is created when generating a production order from a sales order, added to the production order, and then automatically deleted afterwards. For example, if the chosen fabric is custom-made and not in stock, then at the moment of BOM creation, the system automatically generates a supplier code for that fabric to be ordered. These kinds of industry-specific examples in fashion are virtually endless – and if you’re curious, we’re always happy to provide more details.
Complaints and Customer Feedback – because feedback matters
To ensure manufacturers hear their customers and can deal with complaints effectively, TRIMIT also offers a dedicated system. Within this management module, a customer feedback card can be created, and the appropriate resolution for the customer can be automatically assigned. Everything is managed from a single place.

Focus on your core business, not the details
In summary, TRIMIT is easy to use and enables seamless management of all production and sales processes from a single system. This reduces errors and improves productivity, allowing companies to focus on what matters most – creating and selling the best products.
That’s why TRIMIT is the ideal solution for any fashion company looking to improve both manufacturing and order-to-sales processes, expand product variety, and make smarter business decisions – whether you are a manufacturer, retailer, wholesaler, online boutique, or buyer.
